About
A calendar, not a newspaper
The Federal Register publishes chronologically, by the day a rule was printed. Each agency publishes its own rules on its own schedule. Neither arrangement answers the question a compliance calendar actually asks: what binds next, and who does it bind?
Luminory re-keys every federal final rule on its effective date and lays all 64 promulgating agencies on one forward view. That is the whole contribution. Everything else on the site is a cut of it.
What it is for
Finding what takes effect in a window, across agencies, without reading 64 publication schedules. It is a finding aid for the Federal Register, and every row links back to the source document.
What it is not
Not legal advice. Luminory records what binds and when. It does not say whether a rule applies to you. See the methodology for exactly which figures are read from the source and which are derived here.
Luminory is part of the Lattice network.
